Diamond is a symbol of “love”,“happiness” and “wealth”. On the other hand, it makes people to fear, pain, and poverty.

This story is set in Sierra Leone, one of the poor countries in Africa. Also it is well-known country for diamond.
Leonardo Dicaprio plays the role of “Archer” who is the smuggler of diamond with the darkness past. Djimon Hounsou played the role of “Solomon” who has to break up with his family by the attack from anti-government group, “RUF”.
“Mardy”, played by Jennifer Connery is going to reveal the real facts of the diamond. One day, Solomon finds a big pink diamond when he is forced to work at a diamond pit.
In this story, some people try to get the diamond with each different aims. And the story goes to the impressive ending......

This is the most thought provoking movie I’ve ever seen. Also this is a movie based on a true story. Therefore there are many important real facts that we should know. You will see some violence scenes in this movie. However you shouldn’t avoid those scenes, because it is real fact, too!!
Nowadays, we see so many jewels which is sold and displayed in the show window. Also, women loves jewels such as Pearl, Sapphire also Diamond. When men propose to a woman they present Diamond. But, do you know where the diamonds come from? And do you know the real facts of diamond? Maybe there are not so many people who know about it. If we know those real facts, we can’t say “I want diamond” anymore. Because, the diamond you are going to buy is “Blood diamond”. This movie will help us to know and understand these real facts.Finally, is this movie heart-warming or heart-breaking movie?....I think it’s up to you. What I really want to say is I’m sure this movie will change your world!
